Manuel Lopez Herrera

Manuel Lopez Herrera (1946, Madrid) begon met tekenen en schilderen op de School of Arts and Crafts en later op de Circulo de Bellas Artes in Madrid. Later werkte Manuel als designer en illustrator in de reclamewereld en werd gepubliceerd in vele tijdschriften en boeken over de hele wereld.

Hij werd een officiele ‘copiist’* in het Museo del Prado in Madrid. Hier leerde hij de technieken van de klassieke schilders. In 1973 kreeg hij een beurs om verder te studeren in Rome, Florence en Venetië en in 1976 maakte hij zijn studie af in Londen. Herrera won vele prijzen met zijn tekeningen en schilderijen.
