Peter Bol

Peter Bol, born in 1947 in Eindhoven, is a Dutch painter renowned for his colorful and expressive landscapes and still lifes. As the son of the esteemed painter Kees Bol, he was immersed in the art world from a young age. His father often took him outside to paint, teaching him the art of observation and imagination.

Bol studied at the St. Joost Academy of Fine Arts in Breda, where he honed his technical skills.
His work is characterized by light color combinations and the impasto technique, where thick layers of paint create a tangible and dynamic texture on the canvas.
This technique gives his paintings a vibrant and almost sculptural quality.

His oeuvre focuses primarily on landscapes and floral still lifes. His paintings reflect a genuine joy for life and an innocent perspective, as if he sees the world with fresh eyes. Bol paints with a sense of pure happiness, free from existential doubts or modern anxieties.

His works have been exhibited in various galleries and are part of both private and public collections.

His ability to capture everyday beauty and transform it into vivid, dynamic artwork makes him a unique and significant figure in contemporary Dutch painting.
