Gerard Huysman
Gerard Huysman ( 1953, Zaandam) lives in Alphen a/d Rijn.
He studied at the Rietveld Art Academy in Amsterdam (1973-1978).
The subjects of his paintings are: Architecture and Landscapes, but most of all the representation of light. The atmosphere is very important.
Sometimes very clear skies, sometimes a warm and sweltering atmosphere, or an almost grey sky with rain.
Technique is oil on panel. The drawings are made with chalk on paper.
